The Story
On a warm July evening, Evelyn Blackwood attended her friend’s birthday party, enjoying the laughter, vibrant cocktails, and delicious food. But as the night waned, she felt the familiar pull of solitude and returned to her cozy studio apartment. With lavender oil swirling in her bathtub and a menthol cigarette lit, Evelyn slid into the water—still wearing her elegant black tie dress. Fully submerged, she relished the quiet, the soft ripples, and the cool silk against her skin. The world outside melted away. In that serene moment, she wasn’t alone—she was free.
